Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta Boys Trip: My 6-Day Itinerary

A time was had (we went in November)! Puerto Vallarta showed out. I get why people go back every year. This boys trip was top tier, and splitting an Airbnb with an infinity pool three ways for $774 total, about $258 a person for the whole stay? FIRE! I put together the full itinerary so you can recreate the magic. Go have fun and tag me when you do!

Day 1 | Arrival
Landed around 5 PM, grabbed an Uber to Loft 268 for about $25, dinner at La Palapa that first night.

Day 2 | Zona Romántica
Lunch at De Cantaro, dinner at Republic. Easy day, just settling into the neighborhood.

Day 3 | Private Boat Day
Lunch at Joe's Fish Shack, then a private boat tour, about $75 per person. Dinner at Mar Y Vino.

💡 SHANE'S TIP
Book the boat as a private tour, not a shared one, if the group's big enough to make the per-person cost work. You control the timing and you're not waiting on strangers to be ready.

Day 4 | Canopy Adventure
ATV plus waterfall tour plus lunch at Canopy River Park, about $135 per person. Dinner at the Blue Shrimp after.

💡 SHANE'S TIP
This is your one big adventure day, ATVs, a waterfall, and lunch all in the same tour. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

Getting Around
Zona Romántica is very walkable, you won't need a car. Uber's there when you want it, about $25 from the airport to get started.

What We Paid
Private boat tour ran about $75 per person. The canopy adventure, ATV, waterfall, and lunch, was $135 per person. Parasailing was $89 per person. Loft 268 came to $774 total, split three ways, about $258 per person for the stay.

All in, if you do every activity we did plus your share of the Airbnb, you're looking at about $557 per person. That doesn't include flights, meals, or your day-one Uber from the airport.

Would I Do This Trip Again?
Absolutely. Zona Romántica gave us the walkable, social side of Puerto Vallarta, and the adventure day broke up the trip so it never felt like just another beach vacation.
