Travel Tips for Long Flights

I get so many questions asking for travel tips on surviving those long-haul flights, and being a seasoned navigator of the airways, I hav curated a list of tips that keeps me sane.

Dress to Impress...Yourself

Dressing comfortably is non-negotiable! My go-to is a loose tee, stretchy pants, and my softest socks. Remember, the airport isn't a fashion runway, but if you can blend comfort with style, you'll be winning before your trip even begins!

The Unending Joy of Snacks

Nothing makes a flight easier like a cache of your favorite munchies. Those airplane snacks? Gourmet delights they usually are not. I always pack a little selection of fruits, nuts, maybe even a sneaky square of chocolate. Just remember to eat light; your stomach will thank you later!

BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle)

Stay hydrated without relying on those miniature airplane water cups. Carry an empty water bottle you can refill once past security checks.

In-Flight Entertainment on Steroids

Don’t rely just on the airline. Load up your electronic devices with entertainment for all moods – e-books, movies, TV series, podcasts, or even downloaded blog entries!

Neck Pillow + Eye Mask + Earplugs = Golden Trio

It's hard to overstate the significance of this contrasting triumvirate. They'll transform your upright airline seat into a dreamy haven of sleep and relaxation. Trust me!

Move it, Move it!

You know that crumpled feeling after a long flight? Keep circulation flowing by doing simple stretches and regularly walking down the aisle when it's safe to do so.

Recharge Your Body and Your Gear

Carry a portable charger because fighting for access to that lone charging port can be uglier than a mid-air turbulence!

Skincare Regime: Basic Edition

Spritz your face with a moisturizing facial mist during the flight. Your skin will relish it, and it's a mini spa experience right in your seat!

Sprawling Space

If you can afford it, grab an extra legroom seat or even an upgrade. The extra space can make the world of difference!

A Good Old-Fashioned Book

It never runs out of battery and can transport you to a different world while you're in the sky!

Most importantly, come to your flight with a high-spirit attitude and a sense of exploration. Safe travels, my fellow adventurers, and remember, as your travel blogging friend, your journey is my journey so don’t forget to keep me updated!
