Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Experiences I’d Actually Recommend
These are a couple of the experiences I did during my Puerto Vallarta trip and would actually recommend if you’re planning your own visit.
I’m not adding things just because they’re popular. If it’s on this page, it’s because I did it and thought it was worth my time.
Parasailing
If you want an easy bucket-list moment without giving up half your day, parasailing is such a good add.
You get these incredible views of the coastline from above, and the whole experience feels way more peaceful once you’re actually up there than you might expect from watching it from the beach.
It’s quick, memorable, and one of those things that makes the trip feel a little more special.
💡 SHANE’S TIP
If you’re nervous about heights, don’t overthink it from the ground. The takeoff is probably the most intimidating part, but once you’re up there, it’s actually really calm.

Jorullo Bridge ATV, Waterfall + Tequila Tour
If you want a bigger adventure day, this is the one I’d go with.
The tour combines an ATV ride, the Jorullo Bridge, a waterfall stop, and tequila tasting, so you’re getting a lot of different experiences in one booking.
I liked that it gave us something completely different from the beach and resort side of Puerto Vallarta while still feeling like a fun vacation day instead of a super intense excursion.
💡 SHANE’S TIP
Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. You’re on an ATV, so dust and mud can definitely be part of the experience. I’d also bring a secure bag or pouch for your phone and anything important.
